In regards to what first came to mind...
A relationship, wherein I felt happier than I evAR have b4
But found out he did not feel the same.
No,
I did not get back what I put in.
And, just a few days ago was grief stricken with
The awareness of it.
I felt shell shocked.
And, have been grieving ever since.
In retrospect I don't know how I could have been
So stupid.
But, I guess it's true no matter what age you are
Love can be blind.

It's never completely 50/50, but some things in life work best with a level of mutually agreeable compromise. It all works out in the end.

Nah..... but hey. We put what we want into things because we want to.... not always because we have to. So all in all...... it's always ok. If we are mature and know what we are doing we know ahead of time that we might not get out of it what we put into it. That's the whole key..... being prepared ahead of time for the inevitable.
