Yes, I support the First Amendment, and yes, I support the right of racially motivated hate groups to express their views... as long as that expression is non-violent and doesn't infringe on anyone else's Constitutionally-protected rights.

Yes, to express, of course.

But, like all other rights expressed in the Constitution, sometimes rights conflict.

For example, the "yelling 'fire' in a crowded theater" cliche. One who believes *all* speech is protected would not object, unless this speech is weighed against the right of the people to be secure in their possessions. No one has the right to falsely cause a theater to be vacated. Lies are not protected speech.

And there is the rub. Racially motivated groups have a right to express themselves, until the objects of their derision are threatened. If a member of group A does not like members of group B, there is a right to express that dislike. But there is no right to communicate a threat.

Yes. Ideas, even repulsive ones, should be debated publicly, or ignored, not sent underground by coercion. When the hate groups actually start promoting violence in specific ways is when they should be stopped. Oliver Wendell Holmes idea that only speech which poses a "clear and present danger" can be stopped is the right one. To do otherwise is to give far too much power to government.

Yes, I support the right of folks to express unpopular views.

And Hate "Thought" Crimes are nothing but a way to label political opponents and force political correctness upon the people.

The law should always stop at your skull. What you think or say (opinion-wise) is your own business.

Sure, as long as they don't do it in a way that promotes violence, or in a way that violates the rights of others.
Once the government starts controlling speech, there will be no end to it.

You can find a circumstance to show that someone is exercising any of their rights in a way that many people disprove, but that is no reason to strip them all away.

The first amendment must be supported, however, we must make division in it by what is right and what is wrong, There can be no exceptions for those who want to rabble the race card. and we are to NOT use the First Amendment as a means to censor Christians either.

It depends on what you call "hate speech".

If you're just a sensitive liberal who doesn't like to hear the opposite argument from a conservative, and want to silence him or her, then you're a communist.

If a group who proclaims violence and hatred against this country or another person, than that's threatening and can't be tolerated.
