Well if you don't like the college you're in right now then I think it's time for a change.. Why would you spend your time in a college you hate, when you could spend your time in a college you love?

That is an option as is going to a another non commuting school.
I cannot be more specific since the information given in your question is vague. For examples ,how long have you gone to this school and why do you dislike it.

People don't commute because it's smart to just live on campus. You don't have to worry about parking or sitting traffic in everyday. But like for me, I live 30 minutes away from my university and it costs too much money to dorm, so I have no choice but to drive.
