That is a trick question, just because your life does not turn out the way you thought it would does not mean it's always bad. there is a song out called' thank god for unanswered prayers''. My life is nothing like I thought it would be when I was growing up. It is so much better. I grew a ward of the state and so many of the people i meet threw they're lives away. Or accepted the way their life was as the way it's supposed to be. rather than strive to have what they really wanted or be who they really wanted to be. Anyone can have the life they want it's just a little more work for some then others.
I have a freind who run's a nursing home and lives in 300,000
dollar home. this woman got married and pregnant at 18.
she put her self through school and raised a child while the sole supporter of her family.( her husband was a bum) got her degree . and now has the life she always wanted. do you think she thought that when she was grew up that she was going to get pregnant before she even finished high school.
but she had a goal and wanted to better her self rather then sit around and cry about what happened.

Well, it's not as though I had some preconceived notion since I was a child, but more or less I s'pose we all think life will be pretty great. So, thus far, my life has not turned out the way I thought it might. Not in the least.

I have a mansion
Forget the price
Ain't never been there
They tell me it's nice
I live in hotels
Tear out the walls
I have accountants
Pay for it all
They say I'm crazy but I have a good time
I'm just looking for clues at the scene of the crime
Life's been good to me so far
My Maserati
Does one eighty-five
I lost my license
Now I don't drive
I have a limo
Ride in the back
I lock the doors
In case I'm attacked
I'm making records
My fans they can't wait
They write me letters
Tell me I'm great
So I got me an office
Gold records on the wall
ust leave a message
Maybe I'll call
Lucky I'm sane after all I've been through
(Everybody sing) I'm cool (He's cool)
I can't complain but sometimes I still do
Life's been good to me so far
I go to parties
Sometimes until four
It's hard to leave
When you can't find the door
It's tough to handle
This fortune and fame
Everybody's so different
I haven't changed
They say I'm lazy but it takes all my time
(Everybody sing) Oh yeah (Oh yeah)
I keep on going guess I'll never know why
Life's been good to me so far baby,
inside the Sad Cafe.

It is shaping up toward that way. Though I sometimes feel I should have listened to my sis when she wanted me to be her partner in a business venture that has really worked for her. Even though I'm proud of her I am a bit jealous. Not really jealous, disappointed at myself that I turned it down.

No, does it ever for anyone? If you'd told me a year ago where I'd be now, I wouldn't have believed you. It's scary to think how so much has changed, and how much could potentially change over the next year, 5 years, 10 years...

In some ways yes, like being married and having kids.
But in every other possible way, wow, not at all.
