i dont think it is wrong, but if it is offending your friend then maybe you should back off from talking to him. thats only if your friendship is more important to you than talking to your friends ex.

What is wrong about it? You probably became friends too over the course of their relationship.
What are you going to do if you bump into her pretend she isn't there. If your friend can't understand that well....

No, but if you're not sure whether your friend is over them, maybe you should tell them first, just so they don't get upset if they find out from another person.
