Why is it when questions are asked re: important issues relating to the Madeleine McCann case once again abuse and silly behaviour is said to the point of no real response or purpose to the question or the debate.

What debate? If people are abusive report them. If you are going to pick over everything the McCanns do and criticise it and/or portray it as evidence of their guilt without any attempts at objectivity you rightly deserve the silly behaviour. It won't kill you to try and see things from another point of view or don't give someone the thumbs down for a good response, even if you don't agree with it.
Whoever is giving the thumbs down to people who try and answer the question is driving them away. Why don't you criticise them?
Look at Dellyxx says she is going to get thumbs down, it can change but it was 7 up 0 down.
It is blindly obvious from this Q&A (apart from Carr51) what a condescending and sneering attitude the anti-McCanns have to others. With that attitude it isnt surprising you get abuse though I don't condone it.
I don't include good natured and tolerant Retox either.

Wow retox well said. Sorry Puff, completely sidetracked by retox's reply. I think this is such an emotive subject both sides get heated, I know I do. I keep having to run into the garden and jump up and down and scream I get so frustrated, I just wish it was Gerry in the garden when this happens!

Straight answer? No, at least, not any more than the anti brigade who seem to spend all day on here attacking anyone who dares to suggest either a. the McCanns had nothing to do with it or b. that perhaps it's none of anyone's business except the cops and social services what happens to them?
I couldn't give a stuff about them.
I don't care if they killed the kid, I don't care if they didn't.
I care that the media hysteria kicked far more important news off the main channels for weeks, and idiots still think it's the most important news in the world.
Get real. Kids die in slums all around the world every single day.
Why don't you all get emotional about them instead of one kidnapped/ murdered/ or whatever four year old?
Come sit in the real world, it's not so black and white as you lot would have it.

I agreed. There was some McFann on here earlier wittering on about karma and that all the anti McFanns didn't have a life etc etc - boo hoo. Never mind hocus pocus karma - I have nothing to fear - I haven't wilfully abandoned my children to go and stuff my cake hole at the local eatery - what idiot can condone that behaviour? (apart from Gerry McCann of course).
Some waste of space McFanns called me arrogant earlier - because I said that I didn't agree with the McCanns leaving their children - it's a bit worrying that he did think leaving our kids was OK - what an absolute deluded t*sser. He obviously hasn't seen Gerry in an interview - what an arrogant, self centered, narcissistic, bid headed, selfish, sinister, manipulative, deluded, idiot that man is.
