Έχεις δίκιο η Ελλάδα θα αναγεννηθεί από τις στάχτες της. Όπως έκανε πάντα !

Whatever don't kill us, makes us stronger !

And for those who are responsible for this, sooner or later they will pay ! People who cause pain always pay, maybe not now but in future. Maybe they won't be punished from us, but sure from Someone else Who watches everything and judges !

Yes, this is the saying..... Greece will prevail. And we can do nothing else, than this. We must try to succeed.

Yet....

I am tired of this...
I would rather have Greece to live peacefully, in progress and serenity, like all European countries do. Just for a change.... I am tired of prevailing. I just want to live with no worries and with peace of mind. And relaxed.

I live in Greece also and what has happened is so sad and horrific...but lets face it ... I doubt that they will ever find who did this....

Sorry to hear about your house in Evia... the same happened to a friend of mine in Aliveri... :(

Yes, we'll prevail. But only by pressing our government to finance the recreation of our country, and by keeping our interest alive for the next years to come.
Oblivion is the enemy to our power and possibilities.

Yes, we will win if we remain united and start healing our wounds instead of just covering them.
The ones responsible must be punished, but first they must be arrested, which I doubt as they use arson devices which they activate and then dissapear.

The worst punishment to all arsonists would be to replant all your forests. They shouldn't get what they were hoping for.

Start a tree-planting campaign. Go there in masses. Don't let those lands fall into the hands of contractors.

We should do likewise.

As for finding the responsible parties, our police had said, after some serious fires, that it was very difficult to trace of arsonists. I hope you will have better luck.

May God take all deceased take into his bosom.

hang them in your island just a silent parade.İ m not having fun of you.i share your sadness.when this happens in Turkey i think it s the mafia or stupid picnic peopel who dont put off their fire properly. But in Greece Europe and those Hollywood scene islands.i ve hardly seen one plane and a helicopter.
by the way i ve heard on TV that Karmanlis did not ask help from the army that he was kinda shy that civils are not capable of putting off the fire.
he pulled his rope just like Melih Gokcek president of Ankara Municipality and responsible of cutting water of the capital though the dams are not that low.
God have Mercy

No, I am not at all optimistic. In the last 50 years Greece has lost 3/4 of its forests, lakes and habitats and nothing has been recovered.
I respect your feelings and hopes, but the ones who govern us have no priorities for nature protection.
Just see what happened at Chalkidiki, and what happens every summer in Pendeli mountain...
And of course I cannot expect anything good by "Greeks" who say "na tirisoume enos leptou sigiS", " i vlastisi tou PRANES tou lofou", "ekapse ton PERIVALLON xwro"....
I have the right to moarn both for natural and for cultural disaster...
