I know they tease him and then he kisses that one dude, but was it all a joke or not? They also allude to the fact that since Sunshine and his family are from California they're a bit more liberal and open minded.

No he was not gay. He was just trying to show the team that times were changing all around them. With the forming of blacks and whites there are other issues out there. And that if we fall into the whole labeling off of what we see on the out side as far as appearances we are judging wrong

i dont think he was it was that he was from a different place where boys had long hair and homosexuals were accepted.
