I used Citrix in high school last year, they were suppost to keep us in the system for up to year after you graduate, but they didn't. Now I'm making a resume and need to know some of the programs/software that were in it! (I know some people who use Citrix have different programs, but if you could, just name them all) Thanks!

Citrix MetaFrame is a system that allows you to connect onto a network remotely as though you directly logged onto that network. You can access everything you could (in your case) as if you are logging at the school.

The programs you are able to access depend on your rights on the main network and how they set you up as a remote user.

If you have any further questions, contact the people who administer Citrix MetaFrame at your Highschool.

Good Luck

I have used infrastructures employing Citrix for supporting corporate e-Biz systems but it's been a few years, so (like you !) my memories of it have faded somewhat.

Nevertheless, the important thing is that it makes it possible for companies to host applications centrally and provide access to them remotely without setting up and maintaining a lot of Windows 2000 / Windows 2003 servers as well avoiding bloated (and expensive) workstations for everybody.

If you want to use a few buzzwords ... try Windows Terminal Server, Citrix MetaFrame and Thin Clients !

Hope this helps ... !

Try searching or contacting the school IT administrator.

Citrix Presentation Server (formerly Citrix MetaFrame Server) is a remote access/application publishing product that allows people to connect to applications available from central servers. One advantage of publishing applications using Presentation Server is that it lets people connect to these applications remotely, from their homes, airport Internet kiosks, smart phones, and other devices outside of their corporate networks. From an end-user perspective, users can log in to their corporate network from, for example, an airport kiosk, see all of the applications they would see everyday at work, including Outlook email and any internal applications, and access them from the kiosk in a secure environment. To the user, the application would appear as if it was installed and running on their computer (seamless desktop integration), whereas in reality, the application is running on the Citrix Presentation Server, usually hosted in their corporate environment. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Citrix_Presentation_Server
