i first heard her sing these 2 songs in 1978 in 1979
angie in angel of the night when i moved to live with my aunt in new jersey i was just 14 at the time now i have all her album's in cd's i am glad that i moved there cause if i did not i would not of ever hear her sang these two song i have listen to anita baker in i have all her album's to i have been living in jersey now for over 27 years now in have 2 sons in 2 daughter in they also listen to her music i work about 10 hours a day in never have been back to texas never again

Yes, I remember her and I'm glad you do too. I was just listening to her greatest hits Cd last night. I would have to say " This Time I'll Be Sweeter is my favorite song of hers.

Definitely. A talented singer who I heard at the time was eventually ripped off by her manager.
My two favorites: "I Try" and "Under the Moon and Over the Sky".
