The military, for the most part, keeps pretty quiet about their progress. Although not completely trustworthy, they are far more trustworthy than the overblown claims of the administration.

President Bush: "Mission Accomplished."

Vice President Cheney: "...last throes of the insurrgency."

Speaking of which, I went to Maine over the weekend and spoke with members of the "Iraq Veterans Against The War," and they had some very interesting things to say, including that there are quite a few soldiers who are afraid to go against orders, and they don't have access to websites about war protests going on in this country. Of course I am and no I am not olbigated too. I am also not obligated to belive that the world will flood tomorrow from global warming or that I am a bad person either. The media's job is to report the news, not tell us what to believe. That idea seems to have gotten lost somewhere.

If you believe that, feel free to tune into Al Jazera. Or, better yet, since you see the U.S. as the enemy of the world, why not head on over there and volunteer to fight the U.S. with your fascist buddies! Just make sure to slip a note into your pocket so we know where to send your remains. Won't do that will you? Despise the U.S., support her enemies and yet you won't stand up and be counted among them. Coward. America is evil and you won't stand up to defend the world against that evil. Seems you may, then, just be talking out of your behind.

I am not concerned at all. Why? Because I do not believe a damn word that comes out of the Pentagon.

I feel like the military is alone qualified for what they are doing, and if they aren't, we sure aren't.

I support our troops first and foremost. They are fellow Americans.
