No matter how good a deed is, there will always be someone evil out there who will hate you for being good. Chances are that whoever claims to hate you is actually jealous of you.

or
it might be good for you but the one who's defeated maybe did wrong and is punished

In my opinion I think it means that there's always someone out there that will hate you for being right out of jealousy, or will deny your right answer.
