For about a month now I have been having partial numbness in my thumb & forefinger & also up my arm all the way to my shoulder. My neck has been hurting for awhile too & maybe it is related somehow,I don't know.I went & had tests done last week & when I called to get my results, they told me the doctor was on vacation so I have to wait.Is there anybody out there who has had this feeling before. Also, could it have anything to do with diabetes even though it does'nt run in my family? Thanks for any of your help ; p

It could be many things - sounds like symptoms I had when I had a trapped nerve in my shoulder-neck area. It got pinched so cut off some feeling to my little finger and down the outside of my hand. If I stretched my arm I could feel the pinch all down my arm. Have you had a scan? Hope you get it sorted out soon.

Sounds like you have a trapped nerve somewhere.
Shouldn't be diabetes if you haven't been diagnosed.
Nothing too serious I'm sure sweet; try not to worry.
Next time you want to ask a Q like this try selecting the Health section; you will get more helpful answers there.

That happen to me after my c section, the doc.at hospital told me that I pinch a nerve in my neck or shoulder. Iam not a doc. but maybe that helped. If it really bothers you go see another doc. that was right that he just left and didn't leave your results with some one. Try stretching your neck around.I hoe it feels better soon.

As it's the same ones you use on your keyboard and sending text messages, uh, it's called carpel tunnel syndrome. Diabetes has nothing to do with it. Your neck hurts because you slouch constantly at your computer.

I think you have to wait till your doctor comes back from vacation. Or ask if you can get the results of your tests and take them to another doctor.
