Her clothes are like pre-historic. How can I get her to wear more fashion-able clothes???

remember that it has been a while since she has felt like a star... give her a make over day and take her to the salon an get an outfit. macy's will have personal shoppers if you want to spend some bucks. if not, buy her some clothes that you would like to see her in. a couple of pointers though. 1- anything too trendy will be out of style in two months and thus not worn ever again. 2- moms like things that make their bodies look good. just like you like to look hot. 3- she might be shy of changing color palettes b/c she doesn't want to look like she is trying to look 25. 4-make sure when she tries something new you compliment her on them frequently. nothing will make her wear different clothes like knowing that other people think she looks good in them. 5- she may not know what looks good on her anymore. she might just be waiting for someone to help her pick out some clothes.
i might suggest taking a sibling/ friend along to pick out some clothes, maybe just a top or pants and have her try them on.... when she does make sure you give so many compliments that she HAS to get it. don't go too far too quick. slowly but surely wins the race. (well, gets your mom dressing better anyways)

Go shopping with her and show her things that are more fashion-able. If that doesn't work learn to accept her the way she is and think of other things you like about her. don't dwell on the imperfect things.

Tell her, mom yur clothes are getting old and ripped we should go out and shop for new I'll help you! And then when you go to the mall do ALL the shopping for her!

my mom tries to be yound and wheres designer jeans all the time.... its embarassing cause it looks like shes trying to hard... let your mom be herself...

you should go on styenetwork.com and nominate her for one of those makeover shows like: How Do I Look? etc., etc.
