Normally at night before I go to sleep in my room, but if it's a really really really good book, I'll be carrying it around with me almost anywhere to go, picking it up when i have time to read, even if it's just a paragraph or a page.

My favorite place to read is outside in the back yard where no one is around to bother me. My favorite time to read is in the evening when the sun is getting ready to set. It is a good stress reliever and if not that then music helps a lot.

We have a nice hammock outside under a big tree. I like going there in the late afternoon to read, and watch my kids until evening. In cold weather, I like to read in bed, or the big chiar in the living room..
Its a great stress reliever for me, even when i get really involved in the book and worried about the characters and everything, because it's just temporary, and while I'm reading I'm not worrying about our less easy to get rid of problems.

I love to read on one of those rainy days where all you can do is stay inside. You get to sit down by a cosy fire, drink some hot cocoa, and let yourself drift away into the pages of a book. If that doesn't relieve stress, I don't know what does. (Unless it is an action packed page turner - then you are bound to get a little tense.)

It really depends on the material I'm reading.
If it's educational material, ie. self-help books, newspaper, etc, I like to read it in the mornings with my coffee - it gets me pumped up and motivated for the day ahead.
If it's pleasure reading (fiction) then I read in bed for about an hour before I go to sleep - it helps me to unwind from my day and get all of those little annoying "to do" reminders out of my head!
