I do not believe in past lives but instead I believe those memories are from the collective unconscious.

If you don't know what collective unconscious is look it up -- it is a very interesting concept.

I think it is more of a collective consciousness. We are part of it and I think we can be born from it over and over again. When we are in it we are fully aware, when we are here in this world, we can become aware of it if pay attention to things like coincidence and "gut" feelings.

I am in agreement with you.
There are also many biblical problems with believing in reincarnation. For example, in 2 Corinthians 5:8 the apostle Paul states, "We are confident, I say, and would prefer to be away from the body and at home with the Lord." At death, the, the Christian immediately goes into the presence of the Lord, not into another body. In keeping with this. Luke 16:19-31 tells us that unbelievers at death go to a place of suffering, not into another body.
Further, Hebrews 9:27 assures us that "man is destined to die once, and after that to face judgment." Each human being LIVES ONCE as a mortal on earth, DIES ONCE, and then FACES JUDGMENT. He does not have a second chance by reincarnating into another body.

i believe more in past lives than in collective unconscious. or even both. i think there are things all humans have in common, but i don't know if that's just because we're all human or because we are all joined somehow (i kind of think the first). i don't think we're all connected. i believe more in my own past lives within my own ancestry.

I think it is the mind in it's freest form doing what it does best, imagining and sharing the details with us while we sleep. It is the mind's way for purging, stretching and preparing for the next day's work ahead. Your brain has much to do, like keeping you breathing, blinking, sending you messages of what is going on around you. It is a living thing just like every other part of your body that makes you who you are.

It's a lot of bullcrap. You have one life, one brain, one memory. In this world THAT'S ALL YOU GET. Make the best of it.
