Great honeymoon the disaster was when it was over.

My wife and I got married at 2:15am on July 4, 1999 at a drive-thru chapel in Vegas. We were on a camping trip and had only been engaged for 3 hours. There were campgrounds that were maybe 100 miles north of Vegas, out in the middle of nowhere. After driving there, we found out the place was completely packed. We had to sleep on the side of a desert mountain road, and ended up getting in a fight over space allocation, so I slept outside.
The next day, we drove back to Vegas to begin our Journey home to Chicago, and the car was running extremely hot. We pulled off at some exit and parked in a church parking lot where they were selling fireworks. Two women from the fireworks stand helped us out, gave us food/water, etc., and invited us to stay at their house while I worked on the car. It turned out they were both ministers at the church and (secretly) a lesbian couple.
Long story short, the 2nd night (car repairs would not be complete until the next day), my new wife and I were given their bed. We basically consummated our marriage in the bed of a lesbian minister whom we'd just met.
We just had our first child (our son Jackson) a year ago this Sept. 3.
