They expect America to speak Spanish and accommodate them.

In general, I have no problem with Hispanics. The smartest boy I ever knew was a Hispanic. He went on to be a D.A. in one of TX's largest cities. I don't have a problem with a group of people; I do have a problem with some individuals. The individuals I have a problem with are the ones who come here illegally, refuse to speak English, drive unsafe and unlicensed cars and carry no insurance, among various and other laws they break. I have a problem when I work all the time, but have no insurance so I can't see a doctor until I just can't go anymore. Then, into the office where I work, (when I worked) walks an illegal, speaking no English, but waving a Medicaid card at me. Yeah, I have a problem with that. I don't have a problem with anyone who comes here through proper channels, wades through the paperwork, and respects the laws of the nation to which they have come. So it is not Hispanics that I have little respect for; it is the criminals who have come here illegally and disrespect all I hold dear.

I avoid thinking "in general" about people based on nationality or race. I have friends who are Hispanic who I socialize with, party with and can call at 2:00 am to come get me from the Airport, and vice versa. I cry every now and then for my dear friend who succumbed to cancer. I trust my primary care physician, who is Hispanic, with my life. I am grateful for the Hispanic people who through marriage and my own ancestry I have family ties with. I adore the little girls who live next door to me and enjoy watching them at play. I hate the thug who appeared on the news last night for abusing a child. I admire the crossing guard I have driven by for several years. I appreciate the lady who styles my hair. I appreciate my mother's best friend as they go to exercise together on a regular basis and always comes to see me when I visit my family for Christmas. I am forever grateful to the lady who mentored me early in my career and made it possible to travel across the country for specialized training in my profession. I live and associate with people who are Mexican/American, Puerto Ricans, Cubans, and have encountered a few Spaniards. Can I generalize, no way!!! I will not speak of people I do not know. However, I can share the wonderful way in which the people I encounter every day enrich my life.

I've been to old Mexico and i respect anyone who has the drive to leave home into a land where the language is hard to learn. If i lived there i would want to be here also. They work hard, and there is nothing dumb about them.

i know there are bad ones among every group, and Hispanics are no different. and many come here to get free heath care which is not their fault but the fault of our stupid politicians.

They're pretty cool. Except when they move here illegally. I hate that. If you love america so much than you would become a citizen. I think they are only trying to improve their lives though, which is a good thing. Illegal immigrants are terrible!! They take jobs and steal money from social security. I like puerto ricans the best.

The Hispanics/Mexicans that I have worked with have impressed me with their work ethic.

I feel that all "illegals" should apply for citizenship and, in my opinion, would be made welcome.

When people come to this country to better themselves, they should come legally. The USA has open borders and if this huff keeps up, the borders may be closed and illegals transported to their own country.

So please become members of our society, and do not stay underground.

I think most are proud hard working people. Whenever I see Hispanics at the grocery store their kids are always dressed in nice clean clothes with their hair neatly done. The women also seem to take pride in the appearance. Every race has people who are trashy. Skin color/race does not determine that.

I'm Mexican, and I'm proud. All my ancestors that went through a hard time made it easier for me to be who I am.So all of you guy's who are racist against Mexicans, think again. We're a whole lot more than what you think. Believe me most of the people who racist against us think that we want things to come the easy way, but the truth is that we try to make life easier for our family. So think again.

Love their food. They make fun, good friends. Been to Mexico, and there's something about it that just makes me really love it. But I'm a little disappointed in the illegal immigrants.
