can you elaborate on your question, because writing a check to the deceased is pointless, unless they are zombies...and i dou bt that. elaborate the question. please.

I think you are withholding important info here. Like why you would want to do that. Sounds like some type of fraud to me. If you owed the deceased person money, and think this will negate the debt, it won't. The executor of the estate can cash it.

Sure. But nobody can cash it. Why would you want to do that?

What would be the point of making a law that says writing a check to a dead person is illegal?

Not at all. You would write it out to their estate. ie. The Estate of So & So.
