Just remember that you won't be the only newbie and everyone there loves the same thing as you do so relax and make new friends!

im not in drama, but my friend is.
1. relax have fun be friends with the others in the class. your gonna need to be comfortable talking--acting with/ in front of them.
2. don't be nervous, if your drama class is the same is ours then there is hardly 10 people in the class anyway.
3.remember when you were in preschool and you played house or mermaids or pretended you were animals? you didn't care if people were around then? well, relax and have fun just like that.
4. when you watch a movie that person who is acting is acting like something is really happening even when its not.
5. don't worry about anything they WILL teach you everything (when your 2 years old you dont need to learn math! untill they TEACH IT TO YOU!!)

If you love drama as much as I expect you do, you won't be nervous. You'll be EXCITED. All you'll be able to think about it having the time of your life, having fun performing...this is actually a great way not to be nervous when performing: reminding yourself that, whatever happens out there, you should be happy that you get to enjoy yourself.
