I am one who speaks my mind! Sometimes, I do not think before I speak. Sometimes, people interpret me wrong.
I have been known to be "snobby" b/c I am really shy before I get to know someone.
I have social anxiety. I HATE meeting new people in person. After I do though, I am usually fine. (It is part of low self-esteem/low self-confidence.. I really want everyone to like me and it kills me if somone does not)

Well, your pets became your best friends. I see nothing wrong here. Your bro shouldn't even be growing pot in his room and you can't even buy a water dragon? Those things are sick bro. I had bearded dragons and a skink. I was going to get an iguana but instead my dad let my sister get fish in the big tank. Anyway, just tell her you care for these animals and they fasinate you. People who have a fascination in reptiles are generally looked down upon. That explains your situation. Your mom sees your animals as if they were objects not to be cared for so much, but really they need attention like a human being.
