actually unless you have children that you are splitting for tax credits, your taxes overall should go down being married. How would you have more bills? You just said either way your going to get a place you guys share with other people so that is going to happen anyway. Plus most health, car, life insurance premiums are cheaper for married couples. Wedding costs?elope. Actually the spiritual and romantic benefits have nothing to do with marriage. That is all based on the relationship. If you have them cohabiting then you will have the same married. If you don't have them cohabiting then they are not going to magically appear married. Marriage is legal recognition with certain financial benefits, everything else is about the relationship.

Expensive shoes are always worth it. Mine cost three hundred dollars and I still have them after four years.

Maybe a house, as long as I'm going to spend the rest of my life living in it.
Other than that, no. I don't buy anything to expensive, it's not because I'm cheap, but because I buy stuff I actually need & will use.

Freedom, independence, and autonomy are the most expensive things to achieve and maintain. Their cost is not merely financial. They exact a hefty toll in blood, sweat, and tears.

Food. Depending where you shop. I love fresh fruits and vegetables. I've been known to spend $60.00 in fruits and vegetables alone! ( ^ _ ^ ) I think it's worth every dollar!
