I found it strange that your laptop didn't have wireless built-in. Have you check out your laptop specs on Toshiba website to see if it has the wireless ??? If it does you need to return the laptop and get a replacement. If it doesn't you need to get a wireless adapter for your laptop to get internet. The wireless card usually came in 2 format. The usually cardbus and pci express format. Get the Pci express format since it's the better one.

For the price, they are quite good. Toshiba should last you a while without any major problems. Also, they have some extra features that other brands don't offer on their laptops. These features take some getting used to, but when you do get used to them, they are handy. Dell service is the worst in the industry, from my experience. After your Dell warranty expires, you are dead to them.

if you definitely don't have one installed call Toshiba and inform them and have them fix it but first make sure that it's turned on first some laptops you have to turn the wireless on

are you sure you didnt get the wireless card? you arent going to see it...its built in. try using your manual or use the following to find out if you actually have one installed:

in windows : start>control panel>system>hardware(tab)>device manager>network adapters. look to see if it lists a wireless adapter...if it says there are problems, try reinstalling the drivers for it.

you could buy a wireless notebook card or a wireless usb network adapter .

or just hardwire it to your router through Ethernet Cord

Well, you could start by configuring, "Internet Options" in control panel.

Start>Control Panel>Internet Options

But, of course, you knew that.
