If my friend sunbathes or swims in the pool in the nude, can a neighbor report my friend for indecent exposure?
I told my friend, yes. But my friend insists it is on private property so it's no ones business.
Who is right?
I know it might depend on local laws, but in general, what do you think?

A small hill is in the back but kids sometimes go four wheeling on it. And it shouldn't matter if it's a male or female, should it? Nude is nude!

Regardless of where you are, if you are naked where other people can see you, then that is indecent exposure. If not, then technically I could sunbath naked in the front yard, as that is also private property.

i personally believe that your friend could most likely get into trouble especially if there are kids who play around that open area. besides it is always better to be safe than sorry.
also is you male or female? if your friend is male people tend to frown more than if it were a female.

no it shoudn't matter but most of the time ...for some reason to the general public it does.
when a woman does it people most likely will not think she is up to no good but... if it's a man...people almost always jump to perverted conclusions. i am not saying this is right only that it happens.

It depends on whether people can see them without taking extra measures to do so .
In other words , if someone has to climb a ladder or otherwise make great extra effort to see them , then your friend is probably ok . But if your friend can be seen through normal everyday means , then there's trouble .

My very first thought, upon reading all of your dissertation, was the sight of a patient walking down the hall, in a Hospital"gown", with the back open !!! CLOSE THE BACK !!! ( unless, of course, you want to show your asz'z) Why take any chances, unless you are trolling for trouble !!!
I sun bath in my back yard, however, no one with in 200 yards can see me !!

What is in the back ? Woods ? A shopping mall ?
