Let's see: Four guys- including Lennon and Mcarthy, the most prolific and talented writting team in Rock- who redefined Rock music, have remained incredibly popular and relevant for almost 50 years, were ranked by Rolling Stone Magazine as the Greatest Artists of All Time and became one of the most influential and succesful bands in history, landing over 40 number 1 hits and producing some of rocks most critically acclaimed albums, including the legendary Sgt. Pepper (plus Revolver, The White Album, Magical Mystery Tour & Rubber Soul), VS. 4 quasi emo guys with barely 2 years in the charts and 1 real album who whine too much and still have to prove themselves as something more than a one album wonder?
Where is the contest here?
Panic! is far from the worse band out there and even if I don't really dig em you can see some potential there. But these guys have a looooong way to go, much to grow as musicians and a lot to accomplish before you can even place them in the same sentence as the guys who gave us "I Am The Walrus", "A Day In The Life", "Elanor Rigby", "Hey, Jude", "While My Guitar Gently Weeps", "Strawberry Fields" and "My Life".

The beatles are classic, too. They got, like, a million songs on the top ten list, and even tho they're several decades old, they are still one of the most popular bands. P!ATD can't beat that, lol. :P

Panic at the disco are way out of their league in this comparison. In five years the Beatles will still be the Beatles, panic at the disco will fall somewhere below Dexy's Midnight Runners in importance.
