It isn't "sike." It is "psych." Comes from the Latin word psyche, meaning the human soul, mind, or spirit. Used as a verb the way you are using it means to intimidate (someone) emotionally using psychology.

Janis B. is right -- it's "psych" and is related to psychology, as in playing a psychological trick on someone. In bridge, a "psychic" bid was like a bluff in poker -- i.e., bidding a suit or point count that you didn't have. Fortunately, the psych is largely a thing of the past in bridge because it all too often backfired; your partner never knew what was in your hand.

The word is "Psych!" and it is short for psychologically affecting someone, as in, "psyching them out".
