I love the flower on this plant and am trying to figure out what it is. I thought it was a hosta as the leaves look identical. But I don't believe that is what it is. The flowers spike out like a hosta but have a much thicker stem. The one I have has a white flower and is extremely fragrant. They have an oblong flower when closed that opens up to a funnel shaped flower. My hostas finished flowering many weeks ago here in Connecticut and these plants have just flowered now. I'd love to get more of these but don't know what they are! Any ideas?

sounds like peace lily but I think they're just houseplants except for tropical regions....

maybe some little-know species of hosta? here's a link to photos of unusual hostas: http://images.google.com/images?q=hostas+unusual+flowering+&btnG=Search+Images&svnum=10&um=1&hl=en&client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla%3Aen-US%3Aofficial

It might be a hosta. There are hundreds of varieties in almost every color. Mine are just blooming now. Try this website to see if you can find it: www.hostapatch.com

I'd be happy to help, but I need a picture; without it, there are several plants that come to mind.
