About 2 yeas ago,the Patriots coach let Flutie kick a drop kick late in the game, the announcers that the coach was trying to rub salt in the wounds of an already won game. However, what they failed to realize is that for a defensive coach, its a another defense they have to make up to defense against, which,if you intend to use a drop kick in the final seconds of a playoff,or god forbid, a Superbowl game,if you havent thought of a defense to fight it,its too late to think up a defense to.I think it was a stroke of genius, and im not even a New England fan. What do you think?

Personally I didn't see it as rubbing it in to an opponent, but rather something fun to cap off Flutie's career. Kinda like when the Titans tried to get Bruce Matthews a TD on his last game (though they weren't able to). It probably wasn't a smart thing to do had the game and the Pats' playoff chances hung in the balance but that wasn't the case.

curtaindef, ure obviously a steelers fan. Does it hurt when the pats push you around in the playoffs? Anyways, I dont think it was with mal intent. I believe he would have done it even if the pats were losing horribly. He just wanted to give Doug Flutie a nice sendoff into the sunset of retirement

It was at a point in the game to try something, so other club's have it on tape and would need to plan for it (a gimmick that would then open up another option). I thought it was OK.

It was the patriots and they are jerks. but it was rubbing it in. It doesn't take a genius to run the score up when you all ready won the game but than again that's class when you don't have class.
