I think sweatpea said it best, where is this oil? The same oil that was going to pay for this fiasco and the reconstruction of Iraq? Is it possible that Kuwait is slant drilling into the Iraqi oil fields? It's got to be somewhere, Halliburton has a few thousand people there and I'm sure it's not for the weather and scenery. No more, it's time to get out and let the Iraqi government either take care of their own country or fold. Let's start taking care of our country and our people with the hundreds of billions we are pumping into Iraq.

This is not a blood for oil war, this is a blood for freedom war. No it's not our freedom as Americans, but it is freedom for humans who have been not just oppressed but murdered for not being the "right" type of humans. I have family and friends who have fought in Iraq, and even those who have been injured and killed never expressed any regrets. Talk to humanitarian organizations. For the first time they are now able to go in and provide services and improve the lives of Iraqis who have never lived in anything but squallier and fear. Yes even Innocent people are dieing, but Innocent people die in the US every year too. At least our country and a few others have managed to finally go in and give hope where it was never imagined before.

Where's the oil?? I am still paying $3 a gallon here in Washington State. I think its about 40 cents a gallon in Iraq. Understand that one of the worst things we could to to the terrorists is to establish a democratic country in the hear of the middle east.

The war wasn't about oil. It was about removing a really bad dude from power, and turning Iraq into a Jeffersonian democracy that would be our friend and an example to other Arab nations. Well, Bush got the first part accomplished.

Dumb question. We are fighting the insurgents to keep them contained, kill or capture them. This isn't about oil.
