Lets say it was 3am and I was in bed with my wife and I hered somone down stairs so I went down there and a man tried to attack me with a knife and I shot and killed him.
I want to see a website that has the Pa laws for things like this.

I was lifting weights in my storeroom by my garage one night and I heard someone pop the garage door. I opened the door into the garage and there were two guys there, one of whom menaced me with a knife. I broke his arm, the cops came when I called, and the only thing I had to do was testify about them being in the garage at their trial. Aim well, you might get sued for wrongful death by relatives, but that jerk won't be around to benefit.

While I really don't like the NRA, I firmly believe that if someone breaks into your house and attacks you, if you don't shoot him, you are screwed. I believe that people should be allowed to own guns or collect them. I believe that if I am in that situation that you described, I will shoot the intruder because if he attacks you with a knife, you have every right to protect yourself. No jury in the country would convict you of anything.
If you are curious about the law, I am sure there is a website that would detail this. Or, you can call your local prosecutor and get information that way.

This site has a fairly balanced and comprehensive overview of the law on self defense:

http://www.ittendojo.org/articles/general-4.htm

It specifically mentions that Pennsylvania is a "retreat jurisdiction", meaning that you would generally have an obligation to exhaust reasonable means of retreat before exercising self-defense. However, you have no duty to retreat within your own home, regardless of the jurisdiction.

Just do a Y! search under Pennsylvania statutes. Self-defense in PA is legal. I live in PA.

HEY....even the BIBLE says it's ok to kill in self defense.

Don't sweat the law baby...it's your life...I would rip someone's eyes out with my bare hands no questions asked.
