Yeah, it tends to do that for a lot of websites. But only for the sites that aren't recognized as legitimate. My Angelfire link wasn't allowed, so I did this, take out the "http:" from the address.
But I think they fixed that one, but go to joyboner.com and click on msplinks, they have the fix there.

Edit the hosts file and define the address for that URL as localhost or 127.0.0.1 and any further attempts to access that site will be redirected to the web server on your local machine, which will result in a quick and silent failure and no more problems. Hopefully you aren't relying on msplinks.com for anything legitimate?

The hosts file is in either /etc or \windows\system32\drivers\etc
