You need to take a RB. LJ is a good pick as are Alexander, Gore and Westbrook. Picking Manning there is a recipe for mediocrity. You will have a #1 RB that is low end 1 or high end #2 RB and your #2 RB will also be weak. Much better to grab a top 5 RB and a top RB#2 with your 2nd pick. If Manning or Palmer are still there in the 2nd round, you can pick them there - definitely NOT with the #3 overall choice!

BTW Chiefs announced Huard is coming back as starter, so the "Croyle cringe" won't be an issue for LJ owners.

Don't take LJ. I think his offense would limit him even if he did not have 400+ touches a year ago. If you do some research you will find RB's who had 400+ touches a year ago really struggle or become injured the following season.

I would take Gore #3. He is a big back, gained +5 yds per carry last season while catching 61 passes out of the backfield. This number looks to remain constant, if not increase. I believe he will increase his TD's as the 49ers offense should be improved. Finally, the 49ers have one of the easiest schedules in the NFL vs. Run D's.

You MUST take a RB in the first 2 rounds of 3 or your done. It is very critical that you take a RB with the first 2 picks... I can't stress this enough...

Saying that, DON'T take Manning. My friend did a stupid move and picked Manning with the 3rd pick also. His team ended up being horrible and he didn't have any good RB's. So he HAD to trade Manning anyway for RB help. That's why you don't take Manning.

Take LJ. They are definitely worthy of that pick and LJ is the best out of all of them. With the Chiefs not having a good QB, they will look towards LJ more so definitely take LJ.

Good Luck

I'd go with Joseph Addai. Larry Johnson, Shaun Alexander, Frank Gore, and even Rudi Johnson would be good picks too. However, I'd stay away from LJ personally, even though he's been a high consensus pick. He has red flags over him (just signed a contract, Hall of Famer guard just retired, new QB, 400 carries last year, holdout).
