Hunting is legal dog-fighting is not. And yes PETA has been oppossed to hunting for as long as I can remember, however when a law is broke it changes everything. If there were no laws against dog-fighting Vick would not even be in the headlines for this whole ordeal. I believe in and support the right to hunt as long as our laws are not broken, however I am opposed to acts of blatant animal cruelty and this is a believe that many Americans share. What Vick did was cruel inhumane and of course illegal. PETA had law enforcement on their side in this case, they would not in going after sportsman atheletes.

I do not see how since hunting is legal and necessary in all 50 states. The mistreatment of dogs was only the minor part of Vicks problem. What he really is getting busted and set to jail for is the federal interstate gambling charges (RICO law violations).

Join the OTHER P.E.T.A.!

That is short for People Eating Tasty Animals.

Michael Vick took down Michael Vick by thinking he was above the law. It should happen to more athletes.

PETA had nothing to do with it. Law enforcement came after Michael Vick because he broke the law, and now he must pay the consequences.

I agree with the guy above me -- the only person that took down Michael Vick was Michael Vick.

Actually, it was a DOG that took Vick down. A drug dog sniffed drugs out in his unemployed cousin's car that was parked at a local strip bar. The cops then got a search warrant for Michael Vick's house where Devon Boddie lived, and instead of drugs they found 52 starved and abused pit bulls along with equipment used to train dogs to fight.

So, thanks Troy, the Drug dog!! Good job boy! You are a hero to dogs and people everywhere!! (Except for dogfighting druggies, but they don't count)

Its not PETAs fault that Vick is a pathetic sociopathic moron.

Since when can we compare the illegal fighting, hanging and electrocution of dogs to the legal shooting of overpopulated raccoons for sport?

Nah. But they might throw a parade for pro athletes that hunt down people who make asinine posts like this one.

I'm in no way, shape, or form a proponent of PETA (I've hunted and fished as far back as I can remember), but I don't really think their involvement is having any significant effect on the way the justice system or the NFL is handling this situation.

Vick had it coming to him.

Peta didn't make Vick drown and electrocute dogs. What about personal responsibility?
