How can i put snaps on my jeans?

HI, I was wondering how to change jeans with a slip through button to a snap? My little one has a hard time getting the button through the loop, so I wanted to change it to a snap, all I can find is sew on ones, is there a punch or machine or something I can buy to do it? Any info would help thanks in advance.

Your local sewing shop should have kits that come with the punch and the snaps, then you can buy snaps to refill later on. You'll want to put a patch over the buttonhole.

Craft stores like Joann Fabrics has kits you can buy to fix the snaps on jeans.......I just did a pair of my kids pants.
