Unless you can right click on it and delete you will have to delete all the history.

There is a way of deleting the history. I think you mean the one that comes up when you type a letter in and it comes up with the list of searches that stars with that letter. Okay here is how you do it.

Click after the search whether it is a phrase or a word on the drop down list of the search that you want to delete. For example click on the space after the word "answers" on the search "yahoo answers" and drag the mouse holding the buton down to the little space before the word "yahoo". Then press the Delete button on your keyboard. If you want to delete the entire history do as i said above and hold down delete until all history is deleted.

Hope this worked for you

Its very simple!

1> Go to the "tools" menu from Ur Internet Explorer menu bar.
2> from there select the "Internet option"
3> press on "clear" button to clear Ur web search history
4> press delete cookies button for efficiency
5> Also u can set the searching history setting to clear off Ur histories through the "setting" button

or

If U r using the Mozilla FireFox browser then it is the most easiest way that u can discover!

1> simply go to "option" from the tools menu and press on "clear now" button form the "privacy" tab
2> also set the advanced setting if needed after every search.

always remember that the settings I mentioned above are related to the browser that u r using.
I mean to say that this setting s will also clear off the history
for all Ur searches uptill now and not only for google.co.uk.
strictly mind that.

I recommend U to use Firefox from now onwards if u r very keen to wipe off ur histories, because there the way is very simple

It's unclear if you are talking about the toolbar or the website.

If it's the website, your google web history can be deleted here: http://www.google.co.uk/history/edit?q=&month=8&day=26&yr=2007&hl=en&zx=CCoKolDLAAg&prev=/lookup

If it's the toolbar, click the down arrow in the search box and from there you can select clear search history.

If you are using Firefox as your browser, then just go to TOOLS>CLEAR PRIVATE DATA> Then select what you want gone.

If that doesn't work, go to Start>Control Panel>Internet Options> Clear History,Delete Files, & Delete Cookies. That should do it.
