In my 1996 lumina ls the driver window has a problem. Occasionally the window will work good until it is 75 percent of the way down and then It will lock up or right away it will crack open and then stop and will ONLY go UP.
Is this a switch problem or the motor or something else? Thanks alot

Probably the motor, the switch doesn't know where the window is, if it always has a problem at the same spot it's most likely the motor.

i would try lubricating the gears for the window drive (use white grease) you will have to remove the door panel to do this
