I started taking the pill almost 2 months ago in preparation for an IVF cycle, which means I'm pretty much infertile. I had taken the pill for almost 5 years ending about 3 years ago and had never had side effects. This time the first month was pretty normal, no side effects except for some nausia the first week. About 2-3 weeks into my 2nd month I got some brownish pinkish spotting for about 2 days, about a week after I started feeling super tired, hungry, and have had major migranes. Is this a side effect of the pill or could it be stress or something else. Has anyone else experienced this.

Pretty much the exact same thing happened to me. I was diagnosed with PCOS as a teen, and was put on birth control. I was on it for years, and right before I got married stopped taking it.
I was off for a little over a year, then started taking it again. It was horrible. I was sick all the time, gained massive amounts of weight, and spotted. I finally stopped taking them after almost two years.
Your symptoms sound like they are most likely due to the birth control. It could also be stress. If you're still doing the IVF cycle that could explain a lot also. That is very stressful. Make sure you're getting lots of rest, and stay away from caffeine.

Birth Control Pills Fatigue

I think I've heard of this before. The spots maybe from not thoroughly cleaning or possibly an std. The migrains, tiredness, and urge for food most likely are stress results. Consult your doctor right away because it also is a possibility that the pills could be causing everything but the spots. Ask about Yaz (a form of birth control pills) and that will prevent stress symptoms such as the ones you have. I have sysistic ovarian syndrome and I too have experienced some of these things and now I'm taking Yaz and it has helped tremendously.

I think its a combination of both. Migraines spotting and fatigue can both be symptoms of stress and of Birth Control. Try and relax and not stress so much. Iknow thats a very very hard thing to do but. Whats meant to be is meant to be. I'm sure you know that stress can stop ovulation also.

It varies with the type of birth control and each individual person. I have been on b.c for a few months now and have had no side effects. My friend on the other hand, has felt dizzy, and she has had some cramping. It just depends on how well your body adjusts.

It is due to the pills. If you did not experience it before it is because the pill you started two months ago has a higher dose of hormones to force you to prepare your eggs and your endometrial layer to put the embryo there.

Instead of sitting and looking at, listen to books on tape since you walk, clean, or garden.
