Thats when I graduated high school.

Music? Just go with the 80's rock with a smidge of grunge.
Fashion? A t-shirt and badly stone washed jeans with some British Knights shoes.

As for the rest, movies and such, I'd have to look as well because I can't remember.

Man.........I actually graduated HIGH SCHOOL in 1992. So talk about making me feel old! (gulp) Okay, here are some hints on having a pretty authentic 1992 themed party, based on how things were here San Diego CA at the time......

* Big hair metal was OUT. Grunge was in!
* Nirvana, Pearl Jam, Alice In Chains, and Soundgarden were all the rage.
* On the other side you had everybody wearing "Cross Colors" which were bright n colorful hip hop clothing, as seen on the show "Living Color".
* "Kris Kross" was making you "Jump Jump"
* Hottest songs were:
"End Of The Road" - Boyz to Men
"Baby Got Back" -Sir Mix A Lot
"Save The Best For Last" -Vannessa Williams
"Tears In Heaven" -Eric Clapton
"Under The Bridge" -Red Hot Chilli Peppers
"November Rain" - Guns N Roses
"I'll Be There" - Marriah Carrey
"Even Flow" - Pearl Jam
* Bush Sr. was still president, but Clinton was IT!
* Riots in LA over Rodney King verdict.
* Magic Johnson admits he has HIV.
* Areseneo is the hottest late night talk show.
* Jay Leno takes over the Tonight Show for Johnny Carson.
* Beverly Hills 90210 was the hottest show on TV.
* Sideburns and vests with t-shirts was hot fashion.
* Girls still had flipped up bangs
* Michael Jordan was the king of everything he touched.
* Hottest movies were: Wayne's World, Basic Instinct, The Bodyguard, and A Few Good Men.

Remember that this was ALL before the internet, cell phones, and if you knew anybody that actually had a pager then they were either a businessman or a drug dealer. The show "Friends" wasn't on TV, there was no "reality" TV, and there was no email!

You sure you wouldn't rather do a 2007 party instead? LOL!

These are about as detailed as you can get.

Yes, sometimes Wikipedia can be a bit tricky to seperate truth from fiction, but these listings are easy enough to cross check with google or something.
