im writting a paper and i need to know if someone was to kill a pregnant woman, would they also be charged with the killing of her unborn baby?

if the baby was near 24 weeks gestation, then yes, 2 counts of murger. At 24 weeks, a baby is concidered to be at the age of viability.

Yes, u can be charged with 2 counts of murder if u kill a pregnant woman doesnt matter if she is in her first or thrid trimester, she is still pregnant and is carrying an unborn child.

this is a biggggg question,and lots of answers,, ok well listen a girl in kansas named chelsea was 8 in a half months pregnant, she was about 14. she was killed by the babies father. The baby and her both died. The man was only charged for 1 murder and that was of the girl. If this would have been in california it would have been two murders. so it all depends on the state.

Check your local laws, but from my knowledge...YES. Many states have that law where a pregnant woman murdered is considered two murders. Look to the Scott Petersen case and this new Bobby Cutts case for examples.

yes, i remember a girl was about 9 months and they thought her boyfriend killed her. so they charged him with 2 counts of murder.

DUH!!!! At a certain point in pregnancy an unborn baby is considered "alive". so the answer is YES!!!! look at the Scott Peterson case. i think anyone who does tht is sick anyways
