In my experience, "overweight" is a relative term. BMI says that I'm overweight, and while I'm not thin in anyone's book, I am one of the healthiest people I know.
So I wouldn't worry too much about being a little overweight. Honestly though, if you are really overweight, like to the point of having trouble walking upstairs without getting really winded, then I would highly suggest you lose weight before trying to conceive. This will definitely increase your chances of conceiving.
Otherwise, I don't think you need to do anything different than anyone else trying to conceive. Make sure you are eating healthily and exercising regularly. Birth will not be an easy thing, so you want your body to be prepared. Start taking a prenatal vitamin and get loads of folic acid in your system. Cereal is a great source of that. Start charting your ovulation (use a calendar, buy pee sticks, check your basal body temp and/or cervical mucus), and have sex with your partner on the appropriate days. Or all the time. 80)
God bless and good luck!

Pregnancy Diet, Weight, and Hormonal Balance
Tip the scales in your favor. If you are either overweight or underweight, it's likely that your odds of conceiving may be, to differing degrees, somewhat decreased. This is because being overweight or underweight can impact your health and hormonal balance. The right balance of hormones during your cycle is of central importance for menstrual cycle regularity - and for ovulation to take place. If you are planning on conceiving and you are overweight, consider talking with your doctor about a diet and exercise plan tailored to your unique needs. If you are underweight, or run marathons, etc, your cycle balance may be out of whack as well. Again, your doctor is the best resource here. What's important to remember is that a healthy body mass index will support hormonal balance, cycle regularity, and regular ovulation. This means you will get pregnant faster.

Dispose of any junkfood/unhealthy food in the house & only keep protein, wheat, healthy carbs, & veges around; this will give you no option but to eat & snack healthy.
Also, eat every 2 hrs; keeping food in your body so often (and healthy food at that) will keep you from getting snacking urges.
And best of all, when you do bring a little one into the world, you can teach them the good habits you will have.
Get into the habit of going for walks, wherever, whenever. You will be amazed at how much better you feel by eating healthy & getting some sort of exercise. When the baby comes, you & your husband can take him/her around the block in a stroller when you take your walks.
Good luck!

Well if your doctor doesn't suggest losing weight first, then just do what he says. My cousin was told by her doctor to lose weight first, to eliminate certain health conditions that occur during pregnancy. She lost 45lbs then conceived 2 months later. The tips for you are the same for everyone else. Have a lot of sex, everyother day is best. Good luck.
