More often than not, female baby girls are often diagnosed wrong. More so than boys. The reason is because the umbilical cord is often mistaken for male genitalia. However, at 20 weeks the tissue surrounding the gentital area should be well seen by Ultrasound.

My advice: Buy lots of green and yellow clothing to be safe...

It happens all the time that they are wrong. It's easy to misinterpret the sex. Ultrasound has about a 80-90% accuracy.

Mine was correct, I had a girl. 2 of my friends were told they were having girls, and they had boys. One found out at a later sonogram, 1 didn't find out until she gave birth.

We found out about our daughter when I was only 16 weeks along- and they were right though I doubted them because it was so early on.
