They can't, thus all the conspiracy theories.

Communism has as much to do with liberalism as nazism has to do with conservatism.
Communism in reality had NOTHING - NOTHING (that was NOTHING for the hard of thinking) to do with liberalism.
NOTHING
You know why?
1) Because communism was autocratic (liberals believe in personal liberty, hence LIBERAL)
2) Because communism took the entire wealth of everyone (liberals believe in the aforementioned freedom, although they often believe in more economic controls than conservatives it's true)
3) Because communism murdered its enemies (how many republicans have been killed in democrat held states on the orders of the democrat party? Well that's a big fat none)
4) Because communism PERPETUATED poverty, because the state took everything and gave back next to nothing (liberalism believes in the advancement of the poor, and the state to support society - so lots of give back)
Is this sinking in yet? Hitler was a profound conservative. He believed everything was better yesterday, that the state should be supported AT ALL TIMES, and the army was the most important aspect of the state. You want to go down his road? Oh, but you're a conservative so you MUST be a nazi, because they're both right of centre!
My God you people annoy me. Yellow isn't red because it's closer to it than it is to blue!

While I think I understand your question, it is badly stated, misinformed, and shows a complete lack of understanding the philosophical underpinnngs of "communism" and "liberalism." While, in general, "communism" is often lumped in with "leftist" as is "liberalism", they are not really "distant cousins." Liberalism is a philosophy of personal liberty regardless of economics. Communism is a philosophy of economics, regardless of personal freedom. JFK is dead, period. He remains dead. I seriously doubt we will ever know ALL the details of his murder, as all the "players" in this drama are mostly dead (or old, old men & women now). Basically I think you're very ignorant in the end. Do some studying, do some research instead of posting completely stupid questions.

Couple of things to point out....
First, what is there to reconcile? JFK was a libreral who was killed by a communist, which leads to...
Second, communism and liberalism are light years apart, antithetical to one another, utterly unconnected. Marx and Engel were reacting to Locke and Mill.
Troll elsewhere - and go to school while you're at it.

John Kennedy was killed by a silly, immature malcontent who had no clue about the true ideology behind Communism. There is nothing to reconcile.

JFK has been dead for years. Isn't it time to let the man rest in peace. It has nothing to do with liberals or conservatives.

Oswald was only the shooter. JFK was killed by J. Edgar Hoover and the Texas oil cartel, everyone knows that. They just used Oswald as a dupe.

An absolutely inane question. You err as many of your ilk do in your understanding of politics. Toss a label on it and call it true. Typical GOP slime. Keep up the good work.

Clearly, this is still more proof that liberals are capitalists, just like conservatives.
The tendency on this board to call your opposition socialists or fascists is absurd, and demonstrates little other that the inadequate global history education of those who do so.
