Yes they have the right, however not the right to use it as they are planning. The rest of the world has the right to get scared and put a stop to this. I'd say even though technically they have "the right", the world cannot afford this.

I haven't forgotten the Iranian hostage situation but I also haven't forgotten that that was almost 30 years ago. I also haven't forgotten that none of the terrorists involved in 911 were from Iran but that 15 of the 19 were from Saudi Arabia, a country to which Bush just assigned a generous military package.
Ahmadinejads latest comments about Israel is more of the same that we've always heard from him. Whenever he's out of the news for more than a month he comes back with the dependable "We will obliterate Israel" comments. I believe that he's trying to goad the United States into taking preemptive action, like we did in Iraq. In fact, I think he's itching for it. His actions are too transparant for it to be anything else, and if we allow this blowhard to move us like pieces on a chess board then our current administration is even more stupid then I already suspect that they are. We, and our European allies, should definately continue to pressure Iran into giving up their nuclear ambitions because the world already has too many nuclear bombs but we should draw the line at military action.

Iran has every right to develop anything they want. We live with many irrational countries that have nuclear weapons and do nothing about it. Main case and point is Pakistan which is a military dictatorship with nuclear weapons and it is said that Osama Bin Laden is hiding there. North Korea has nuclear weapons and have threatened the US many times we haven't done anything about that. Bottom line is we have been lied to about Iran and these weak minded people that believe Iran is wrong for taking hostages don't know the whole story and are speaking out of ignorance. The CIA in 1952 created a coupe and over threw a peaceful government in Iran to install their own leader the SHaw which then terrorist activity began in the country. Our media is deceiving us and there are many that continue to believe these lies. WHo are we to police the world and tell other countries what to do, that incites hatred and that is what needs to stop. People still want to believe that this war is legal and continuing this empires attack on nations that do not threaten us we demand then accuse and then we attack. Please America wake up to the facts. Research. I gave you some links to start the awakening.

Iran is a signer of The I.A.E.A. Nuclear nonproliferation pact. It gives them the right to have nuclear energy "atoms for peace" Unless there as real proof of nuclear weapons they are doing nothing wrong. And I'm talking more proof than Colin Powell with cartoons for proof

No rights whatsoever! A rouge country like Iran must not become a nuclear nation. The iranian leader made a comment about wiping Israel out of the map and I personally think it is insane to make a remark like that.
US government should monitor Iran 24hours a day 360 days a year to make sure that it's Atomic programme is for good cause and not for military purposes.

Every country has the right to develop nuclear power for the purpose of energy. No country has the right to develop nuclear weapons - including the ones who already have.

Considering that many other nations have developed nuclear energy without any hassle from anyone, it seems that Iran ought to be able to develope whatever it wants to.
