he refuses to find a job, help his wife around the house,or take his meds, and is very negative and blows up at any sign of stress and at the rest of the family. He is a danger to those close to him.

at his next outburst call the coroner and have him committed to a psychiatric unit for being dangerous to himself and others. If he doesn't take his meds that's not good. You may have to help your sister strong arm him into health because it is affecting her. If that doesn't work then I hope she leaves him so he'll learn that she won't tolerate this poor behavior.

Time to take him out behind the garage and give him an attitude adjustment til he begins to see the light.

You can't help anyone that isn't willing to help themselves. Talk to him and tell him that he is destroying his life and the live's of his family members.
