i am trying to play total club manager and it keeps saying you need hardware graphics acceleration i used to be able to play it untill i had to reinstall everything where con i download a hardware graphics acceleration please help me many thanks

hello james,the answer to this question is in the other question regarding graphics hardware which i answered
the two factors which determine how a game plays on a p.c are 1)the graphics drivers,these are drivers that amke your graphics card work correctly under windows,every now and again updates for drivers will fix problems that have occured with certain cards such as crashes and problems with certain games,however the game developers also issue patches that fix these problems
and 2)direct X /open gl....these are add on drivers that enhance the graphics drivers so certain modern games can produce amazing effects,for example the latest game "bioshock" uses next generation direct X 10 graphics,and in this game you will see graphics such as life like shadows and real flames unseen in older games,download a demo for bioshock from http://www.nzone.com/object/nzone_bioshock_downloads.html
open gl is another enhancement used in games,however theres no updates for this,as the opengl files are normally included in the games
so basically james,make sure you have the latest graphics drivers and direct X update files and you should have no problems

Call the repair guy and ask him what graphics card he installed or ask him to install the drivers. He should not have installed a graphics card and not confirmed that the drivers were installed and that the card was working properly. You can try just running Microsoft Update. It will often install drivers for devices it can identify. Update: TheIntersect: That almost definitely won't work. It will just report it as a standard VGA adapter. Without the drivers installed, it has no way to know the name of the video card is.

Hardware graphics acceleration refers to the chipset/hardware on the graphics card itself. You simply need to install the latest drivers for your graphics card.

I think it's referring to the accelerator on your graphics card. If you had to do a re-install did you re-install your card correctly?
Try doing it again. Also reconfigure the graphics options in the game. :)
