Meat Loaf
then Steve Perry
then David Bowie
and of course
Freddy Mercury.
I plead the fifth on whether or not I tried to hold that note.
Peace.

There are so many that come to mind. Steve Perry, Sebastian Bach, Miljenko Matijevic (Steelheart - has an amazing range)....
Having a broad vocal range is difficult...Bruce Springsteen - no range....
Axel Rose - decent range but gets screechy if he goes too high....
Jon Bon Jovi - has an okay range but doesn't tend to go so high - he goes more deep.....
I also think, Prince can't be discounted - he was popular in the '80s and he has an amazing range as well....

Robin Zander has the greatest vocal range of anybody out there. Cheap Trick was big in the 80's so I guess he qualifies!! I see them in one week, yeah!!! He still hits the notes!! (sorry, I get over the top when it comes to Cheap Trick)
