Ok here I am again, the 56 yr old dinosaur who can't afford a man, I keep buying weedeaters and I can't handle a gas one for health/physical reasons, but it seems that the string ones that you tap to get more line always seem to be more trouble than they are worth, they jam and I spend more time fixing them and unjamming them ,anyone know of a good affordable one, and if not affordable at least a good string one that works, just using on lawn edging WEndy who really appreciates you help

I am on a very very tight small budget and can't afford to buy and toss. Long story, but I know I used to do this now I can't

Go to Sears, Home Depot, hardware stores and check out Edgers-Weedeaters on Wheels. I had one and they are great. I'm not sure buy it might have been a Black and Decker.

There is a knob that you turn to make it work as an edger or as a weedeater.

I can no longer lift those heavy motors either!

Black and Decker sells several cheap models that are light and easy to use....and cheap enough to toss and replace when broken....no need to fix.
