Don't see how this could be compared to the Swift Boat thing, but it was pretty ridiculous for Romney to call himself a life-long hunter. But it's also old news.
As for the Swift Boat thing, how does most of the people Kerry worked with coming out against his version of events hurt anyone? If Kerry thought they were lying then just fight back, instead he laid down like a wussy and took it,probably because they were telling the truth and so he had no way to fight back.

If you went hunting as a kid and not since then, does that mean you are not a hunter anymore? I used to hunt a lot as a kid through my 20s but haven't been able to go hunting in quite a few years. I consider myself a life long hunter as well even though I haven't been out in a looooong time.

How much should he kill to qualify as a hunter in your eyes? And what difference does it make? Perhaps he considers himself an advocate for hunting and in his eyes that counts.

And when it was revealed that he didn't actually have a hunting license, he said he just hunted "varmints".
True story.
