Yahoo! Answers is not a seriously political website, so you should NOT expect to get long and elaborate answers.

However, I have seen some very nice and informative answers on Yahoo! Answers, but we should not forget that we must respect others opinions also, and even if some of them may perhaps be obviously a lot or a lot more immature thoughts than we have, then that`s not a reason to criticise this website like that.

The ignorance can be masked by other aspects, like you must always make sure to check and recheck the question you are interested with occasionally, to see if that particular question has been updated by that person.

So people tend to write nonsense in their answer at first. Then, they change it purposely to give their REAL view and we don`t get alerted for it whenever that happens.

Last point; Don`t forget people are NOT stupid as you would once expect on a political perspective some 20-30 years ago. They are intelligent and most people know how to vote according to their own personal benefit!

No I don't despair, I actually have a great time on here, silly isn't it ?
We cant and aren't, all clever folk like what you and I is, 'enit can us?
However I wouldn't dream of having some sort of test to find out if people were suitable to answer a question or give advise!
These folk( including you and I) are entitled to an opinion, why should they not be allowed to voice it?
My opinion on politics for example may be completely opposed to yours?
Does that then make me an idiot?
Should I perhaps be locked up in some sort of loony bin?
OK ,maybe I have gone over the top a bit here?
All I am trying to say is ' give us a chance' try and understand where we are coming from and if you can help , please do so, if all you want to do is point out our short comings, don't bother, we already know, we have been told before.

No, I do not despair. I see many people out here that are a little misguided. It is not a matter of being stupid, but more a fanatical view stating that their position is right. I am all about having a firm view about things but before I take my stand I do the research. I just wish that more people would take the time to look for the facts.

Yes, I do. It's frightening that the average poster on here does nothing but sling insults. I got on here hoping to find out more about politics and all I really found out was all the names we can call each other. It's like being back in high school! GROW UP PEOPLE!

Yes. I'm as tired of the people who bash the unimportant puppet who is Bush as I am of the idiots who call their strawman enemies lieberals.

I've noticed: no one has read any other book than harry potter,
never heard any music but the garbage on the radio, don't know the history of their own country (the US yahoo kids) and basically spew sound bites.

But then again, I see it as a microcosm of the real world, and at least here I can sneak a thought or two into the dialog they might not encounter out there in the real world, where absolutely no one has the courage or good sense to be communicating while the world devolves around them.

Can't we just overlook some of this and have fun with it? Sometimes, yeah, I want to tell everyone to GOOGLE, but then I realize that some of us come here for the feeling of community and being able to "interact" with others. Maybe it's he only way some can interact with people. I for one am not comfortable with strangers unless I'm here. It's anonymous, fun and I enjoy my time here helping people (I hope).

A lot of them can't vote because they are only 6 -10 years old. Let's hope they learn a few things, like getting their fat dumb asses up from in front of their computer games all day and start paying attention to current events by the time they turn 18.

No not really...a lot of people may not have a total understanding of everything political, or even be able to express it very well, but will still have a grasp on right and wrong. Their "gut" may tell them what their heads can't explain.

But there are a few that do make you wonder...
