no they don't charge and many have answered that....I disagree with the last answer that they suck.....purchased an item on ebay for just under a hundred dollars...fast ship was their lead in....sounded great to me...had good feedback rating so usually a good sign..was a power seller......couple weeks later not a word from seller and so much for fast ship!!!!...contacted ebay and talked live they suggested contacting paypal since money had been sent and recieved...I did that after several attempts to contact seller of course......within minutes I recieved email from seller being very apologetic and blaming postal service...money was back in my acct. in a flash.......just watch for spammer emails saying you need to update info.....never do that....pay pal will never ask you to do that!!!!!

There is no membership fee and you only get charged if you receive money from a credit card or pay for something using a credit card.
Usually, your account is connected to your bank account. You can transfer money to and from your PayPal account with no charge. You can pay for items from your PayPal account with no charge. If someone pays you using a credit card, then you'll pay a small fee for receiving that money.

There's no membership fee. They have a percentage charge to receive money, but to pay someone, like paying for an e-bay auction is free. Paypal is safe. They're much to big to concern themselves with dishonesty.

You cango to PayPal.com & read about their different fees, different accounts, etc. There are 3 account types, I think, & you have to find a suitable one for yourself. Each type of account covers different ways to use PayPal & different options. They don't charge for certain deposits & a percent for others.
